Hi Everyone,
MFT’s Squirrel! stamp set absolutely stole my heart! I adore all the super cute images in the set and I love the great sentiments which are wonderful for friendship cards.
Images and Background Die
I stamped these cute images onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Extreme Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. Next, I went over the squirrels’ eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen and popped them both up using foam tape.
For the background, I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Windy Backdrop die and inked the edges with Simon Says Stamp’s Lake Shores ink.
Dies and Sparkle
I wanted several layers on this card so I used two rectangle dies to create a frame out of MFT’s Kraft cardstock. Next, I cut a square frame out of pattern paper using a die from MFT’s Stitched Square Frames set (now retired, sorry to say). After adhering both directly to the card base I sprinkled some Pretty Pink Posh’s Marigold Jewels around the card for a little sparkle.
Sentiment
I used Lawn Fawn’s Scripty Happy die to cut a piece of MFT’s Kraft cardstock and yellow cardstock and then glue them together off-centered them so only a bit of the yellow popped through. To complete the sentiment I used Lawn Fawn’s Happy Harvest stamp set and stamped “harvest” onto white cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Cilantro ink.
I hope you enjoyed the card! Thanks for spending a little time with me today!
