Hi Everyone,
I really love Hello Bluebird’s Halloween stamp sets – they are so cute! For today’s card, I’m using two of my favorites Halloween Party and Halloween Fun. The cute images in these two sets just make me smile!
Images
I stamped the bats, cat, witch hat, and broom from Hello Bluebird’s Halloween Fun stamp set and the witch- cat and gravestone from Hello Bluebird’s Halloween Party stamp set onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Extreme Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. Next, I went over all the critters eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
Interactive Elements
To create this fun interactive card I used Lawn Fawn’s Double Slider Surprise die set – this is one of my very favorite die sets of all time!
Creating the Sky
After die cutting several pieces of Bristol Smooth cardstock with the dies from Lawn Fawn’s Double Slider Surprise I ink blended Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks to make a spooky sky.
Creating the Ground
To create a graveyard scene I used one of Lawn Fawn’s Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies to cut a hill out of black cardstock and then placed one of the gravestones at the top of the hill, tucked behind it, and the other in front of the hill tucked behind the fence. Speaking of the fence, I used Lawn Fawn’s Spooky Fence Border die to cut the fence out of Lawn Fawn’s Autumn Sparkle cardstock. This makes the card feel so fun and I think having the fence go across all three panels helps tie the scene together.
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I used MFT’s Witch Way Is the Candy? stamp set to white heat emboss the sentiment directly onto the center panel.
Assembly
I adhered some Halloween themed pattern paper directly to the card base and then adhered the Double Slider Surprise directly to the pattern paper. It is a bit tricky to pull the left panel out, so even though it would create more dimension, next time I’ll pop up the entire Double Slider Surprise with some craft foam.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Thank you for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
