Hi All,
Well, now that it’s October I thought it’d be fun to share a Halloween card. I’m completely in love with Hello Bluebird’s Halloween Party stamp set – there are just so many super ADORABLE images in this set. I love, love, love it!
Images
If you been reading my blog for a while now you know that when I love a stamp set I color all the images in the set – so stay tuned for another cute card featuring this adorable stamp set. For today’s card, I started by stamping the images onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using Ink on 3’s Blackout Detail Ink and coloring them with Copic markers. Next, I added Nuvo’s Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer to the lantern to give it a warm glow and I went over the bunnies eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
Creating the Night Sky
To create the spooky night sky I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Stormy Sky, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Next, I added water droplets to create the illusion of stars. I also used Sugar Pea Designs’ SpookyScape die to add a few bats to the sky as well as some black star sequins, from my stash, for a little sparkle.
Scene Dies
Using black cardstock I created this nighttime scene with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape die. I made sure to tuck some of the bunnies behind the different hills to give the card a sense of depth. However, what really makes this night scene pop is the Sugar Pea Designs’ SpookyScape die which I also cut out of black cardstock. I absolutely love this Sugar Pea die as it is the perfect addition to any spooky card.
Sentiment
For the outside sentiment, I white heat embossed, directly onto the card base, a sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs’ Monster Mash stamp set and created an ellipse with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I finished the sentiment, on the inside of the card, using the large “Halloween” from Hello Bluebird’s Spooky Script stamp set.
Thank you for joining me today! Sending you hugs!
