Fabulous Flamingos Take Two

Hi All,

Earlier this summer I mentioned being head over heels for the super cute Sunny Studio’s Fabulous Flamingos stamp set. Today I’m sharing the second card I created featuring this adorable set. If you’re interested you can see the first card on my Sunny Studio’s Fabulous Flamingos post.

Much like the last card I created, I wanted to feature on this card two of cute flamingos along with several of the adorable foliage and fruit images from the stamp set. After stamping the images onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Ink on 3’s Blackout Detail Ink I colored them using Copic markers.

Background

Another product that Sunny Studio’s has been releasing lately are gorgeous background dies. What’s awesome about these dies are the borders and center are separate dies so you can use just the frame or use the center and frame together – so cleaver! For this card, I die cut a piece of white cardstock with Sunny Studio’s Frilly Frames Chevron Dies and layered behind it a piece of patterned paper from Sunny Studio’s Summer Splash paper pack.

Finishing Touches

After popping up all the focal images in the center of the card and adhering everything else flat to the card base I wanted to add a bit of sparkle. So, I used Nuvo’s Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer pen on the pineapple and Spectrum Noir Sparkle in Crystal Clear on the flamingo’s wings, watermelon, flowers, and some of the leaves. Next, I added Glossy Accents to the flamingo’s beaks and the watermelon. Lastly, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops’ Red Berry to the center of each flower.
