Happy Hump Day, Everyone!
Recently, I needed to make a birthday card and there is no better occasion to pull out the Bunny Balloons stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. I highly recommend this stamp set since it’s both adorable and versatile featuring several different sentiment types.
Images
My goal was to create a fun and colorful card so I started by selecting a bright rainbow pattern paper from Doodlebug Design’s Sweet Summer paper pad. I also wanted to use all of the bunny images so I stamped them onto Bristol Smooth cardstock using Ink on 3 Blackout Detail Ink.
To color the images I used a combination of Arteza Real Brush Markers and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. For the balloons, I selected rainbow colors in similar shades as the pattern paper.
I stamped two different sentiments on the focal panel and added an ellipsis and an exclamation point with my Memento Tuxedo Black Dual Marker.
Assembly
For the cardbase, I choose a bright green closely matching the pattern paper. I die cut the focal panel with the largest die from MFT’s Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and popped it up with foam tape.
Card Front Finishing Touches
To make the balloons appear shiny and more realistic I applied a thin layer of Glossy Accents over them.
Inside of the Card
On the inside of the card, I added a white panel and stamped a sentiment and bunny from the stamp set. I positioned the bunny so it would appear like a continuation from the front of the card where you see only the ears and balloons on the bottom right corner.
I hope you enjoyed the card. Thanks for stopping by!
