Hi Everyone,
One of my favorite stamp sets released this summer was Sunny Studio’s Best Fishes – it has so many truly darling images including two sharks and a swordfish!
Images
I stamped nearly all the images from the Best Fishes stamp set (I’ll be sharing a second card I created with this set soon) and a few of the images from Sunny Studio’s Oceans of Joy stamp set which work perfectly together. After stamping the image onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Ink on 3’s Blackout Detail Ink I colored them with Copic markers.
Background
I created the card panel out of Lawn Fawn’s Fog cardstock and blended Lawn Fawn’s Narwhal ink through this fantastic Studio Katia’s Bubbles Stencil. I love this stencil and feel that it gave a fun and different look to my underwater scene.
Assembly and Sentiment
For my card, I wanted to create a different type of ocean scene so I used a die from Sunny Studio’s Fancy Frames Circle Dies to create a white circle and arrange the images in front and behind the circle. Originally I didn’t add the seafloor but the card looked unfinished so I used the largest of Lawn Fawn’s Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies to cut a piece of MFT’s Kraft cardstock and splattered it with Lawn Fawn’s Walnut and Doe inks. After popping up the seafloor with foam tape I knew this was just what the card needed.
For my sentiment, I combined two sentiments from Sunny Studio’s Oceans of Joy stamp set and stamped them in Weather Wood Distress Oxide Ink.
Finishing Touches
To add some finishing touches I went over all the fishes eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen. Lastly, I covered all the seagrasses and the sea anemone with a thin layer of Glossy Accents.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
