Hi Everyone,
Today I’m sharing a fun winter themed card featuring Sunny Studio’s Polar Playmates stamp set and the polar bear from Avery Elle’s Winter Woodland Wonders stamp set.
Background Panel
For my background I started by stamping Lawn Fawn’s Snowy Backdrops onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock and heat embossed it with Ranger’s Super Fine Detail White embossing powder. Next, I blended Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress Oxide inks on to the panel making sure to use a light hand towards the top to create a sense of white sky.
Images
The two iceberg images are from Lawn Fawn’s Beary Happy Holidays and SugarPea Designs’ Eskimo Kisses stamp sets. The cute hats are from Lawn Fawn’s Christmas Like No Otter and MFT’s Ski-sons Greetings stamp sets.
I stamped all the images on to Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with MFT’s Extreme Black ink. I then colored them using Copic markers and added dot detailing with the darkest maker shades to the seal and walrus.
Assembly
To assemble the card I started by cutting a hill out of white cardstock and inked the top edge with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink to give the appearance of snow. I then tucked the polar bear slightly behind the hill and placed the igloo in the foreground.
Next, I cut a frame using Lawn Fawn’s Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle dies and placed it over the winter scene. On top of the frame, I added the two icebergs and placed the seal and walrus on them. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from MFT’s Snow Globe Sentiments stamp set and placed it in the top right corner of the frame.
Finishing Touches
To add a few finishing touches I started by adding waves to the water with Lawn Fawn’s Christmas Like No Otter stamp set and Broken China Distress Oxide ink. Next, I added Glossy Accents to the icebergs to make them pop. Finally, I covered the snow on the igloo with Nuvo Glitter Accents.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card!
