Hi Everyone,
I love snowflake stamp sets so this winter I really wanted to use Simon Says Stamp’s Snowflake Builder stamp set. I love how many possibilities there are with this set and the fact that no matter how you layer the snowflakes you get beautiful results!
The Stamp Set and Inks
To create this card, I used several images from Snowflake Builder stamp set – I love all the combinations you can make! I stamped the images using the following colors of inks: Hero Arts’ Soft Pink, Soft Blossom, and Soft Lilac; Lawn Fawn’s Sage Leaf and Kiddie Pool; and Altenew Evening Gray onto Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock.
Background Details
To add a bit more detail, I stamped one of the smaller snowflakes from the set into the white spaces between the colored snowflakes and then heat embossed them with Brutus Monroe’s Fairy Dust embossing powder. This creates the most beautiful sparkle in real life.
Next, I used one of the dies from SugarPea Designs’ Card Front Element Builder die set to cut the center out of the design panel. I adhered the remaining edge directly to the card base and then attached the center to craft foam before adhering it. I love the dimension this adds to the card.
Sentiment and Finishing Touches
For the sentiment, I used Simon Says Stamp’s Big Thanks die and cut two out of white cardstock and one out of Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust cardstock. Next, I adhered all three pieces together before attaching them to the card.
Lastly, I wanted to add just a bit more sparkle so I scattered some jewels from Buttons Galore’s All Is Calm and Studio Katia’s Icy Sparkle around the card.a
I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks for stopping by and stay safe!
