Hi Everyone,
I thought it’d be fun to pull out a summer themed stamp set, Sunny Studio’s Oceans of Joy, and make a cute ocean card today. I also wanted to create something a little different so I used Sunny Studio’s Sliding Window die set to make this adorable interactive card. I have to say I absolutely love how easy it was to use this die set to make this card!
Images
To create this card I knew I wanted to use the adorable little whale from the Oceans of Joy stamp set. I stamped this little cutie on Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock and use my Copic Markers to color him. I also stamped schools of fish on both the outside and inside of the card using images from MFT’s Ocean Fun (sadly discontinued) and Whimsy Stamps’ Let’s Be Mermaids stamp sets with Lawn Fawn’s Blue Jay ink.
Interactive Die and Papers
As I mentioned I created this super cute card using Sunny Studio’s Sliding Window die. This was my first time using this dies set and OMG it is so easy! Love, love, love! If you want to see a video showing how to use the die set than head on over to Sunny Studio’s Sliding Window page.
To decorate the front of the card I used one of Sunny Studio’s Summer Splash pattern papers and on the pull tab I used a cute whale pattern paper from my stash. I created the waves using three shades of blue cardstock from my stash and MFT’s Ocean Waves dies.
Sentiment
For the sentiment I heat embossed a sentiment from Sunny Studio’s Best Fishes stamp set on the bottom tab with Lawn Fawn’s White Embossing Powder. On the inside of the card I created a sentiment using several stamps from Sunny Studio’s Oceans of Joy and Sunny Studio’s Best Fishes stamp sets which I stamped in Lawn Fawn’s Forget Me Not ink.
Thanks for stopping by today my blog today. I hope you enjoyed the card!
