Hi Everyone,
You might remember that not too long ago I shared another card featuring MFT’s Squirrel! stamp set. Well, today I wanted to share the second card I created using this adorable stamp set.
Images and Background
I stamped several adorable images for this set onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Extreme Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I also went over the squirrels’ eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen to make this cutie a little more lifelike.
For the background, I used a piece of MFT’s Primitive Cream cardstock which I taped Altenew’s Square Weave Pattern stencil to and blended it with Simon Says Stamp’s Stone ink. This is such a pretty stencil and I love how it adds interest to the card without being distracting.
Dies and Sparkle
To create interest on the card I wanted to use several layers. So, I die cut a scalloped circle using a die from Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Scalloped Circle Stackables, a kraft frame using one of Avery Elle’s Wonky Scalloped Frames dies, and a green frame using a die from Sunny Studio’s Fancy Frames Square dies. I then layered all these together and tucked my squirrel inside the frame to really make him stand out. Next, I die cut leaves using several dies from Pretty Pink Posh’s Stitched Foliage die set and tucked them behind the scalloped circle – they really make the card have a lovely fall feel. Lastly, I added some Pretty Pink Posh’s Expresso Jewels around the card for a little sparkle.
Sentiment
Using Lawn Fawn’s Happy Harvest stamp set I stamped “happy harvest” onto white cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Pumpkin Spice ink. To complete the sentimet I die cut “wishes” out of Lawn Fawn’s Ground Coffee cardstock using Sunny Studio’s Wishes die.
I hope you enjoyed the card! Thanks for spending a little time with me today!
