Hi Everyone,
I must confess that I have fallen in love with the Pinkfresh Studio’s new dye inks and have been wanting to use them on everything. These inks are so lovely and produce the most beautiful results!
Anywho, I’ve also wanted to use Simon Says Stamp’s Lots of Snowflakes stamp set to make a Christmas card and thought these two products together would make a lovely pairing.
Stamping
To create this card, I started by stamping all of the snowflakes from the Lots of Snowflakes stamp set onto a piece of Lawn Fawn’s Sage Leaf cardstock and heat embossed them with Lawn Fawn’s Gold Embossing Powder.
Ink Blending
Once all the embossing was completed I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Meadow and Emerald City inks to add shading around the outside edges of the card panel. I used the lighter ink, Meadow, closer to the center and the dark ink, Emerald City, along the very edge. The very center of the card panel is the natural Sage Leaf cardstock color. I adore how this turned out!
Sentiment and Finishing Touches
To add a bit more interest to the card, I splattered Altenew’s Metallic Watercolor in Gold Pearl and Jade onto the background. Once this was dry, I die cut a sentiment using Tonic Studios’ Flourishing Green Mirror cardstock and MFT’s Believe word die. I absolutely love this word die – gorgeous!
I love how easy this card was to make and yet it still gives a lot of bang for your buck.
Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
