Hi Everyone,
I adore everything from Hello Bluebird and just had to use this SUPER cute Otter stamp set from my stash.
Images
I started by stamping all of the images from the Hello Bluebird’s Otter Friends stamp set onto Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock with Gina K Designs’ Jet Black Amalgam ink and then colored them with Copic markers.
Background
To create the background, I ink blended Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire inks onto a slimline card front. Next, I splatters the ink blended panel with water, Nuvo’s Nebula Blue Mica Mist, and the Distress Oxide ink colors – I love the beautiful texture this adds to the card.
Once this background dried, I die cut it with Whimsy Stamps’ Slimline Marquee die and then adhered the cutouts directly to the card base. Next, I added acetate to the windows and two layers of double sided tape so I could make a shaker card. For the shaker bits I decided to use colors similar to the background so lighter and darker shades of blues as well as clear shaker bits.
Sentiment
I stamped one of the sentiments for Hello Bluebird’s Otter Friends stamp set using Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire ink. This cute stamp set also features several other very sweet sentiments.
Finishing Touches
For finishing touches, I added a layer of black Sakura Gelly Roll pen to the eyes and noses of all the otters and the eyes of the fish. Lastly, I added Nuvo’s Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer pen to all the yellow fish and Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle pen to the green fish.
Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
