Hi Everyone,
Lately, I’ve been on a kick to use stamps in my stash so I just had to use Hello Bluebird’s More Jungle Littles stamp set. I absolutely love critter stamps and Hello Bluebird makes some of the cutest IMHO. These jungle cuties just make me so happy!
Images
I started by stamping some of the adorable images from the More Jungle Littles stamp set onto Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock with Lawn Fawn’s Jet Black ink and then colored them with Copic markers. For the hippo I used a BV maker in the shadows to add a different color cast to him…I love how this came out!
Scene Elements and Background
In addition to using stamps, I’ve also been reaching for my very large and highly neglected pattern paper stash. I decided to use this amazing print for the background and die cut it with the largest die in Lawn Fawn’s Zig Zag Rectangle die set. I love this edge – it just works so well for this card.
Next, I die cut a frame using the smallest die from Hero Arts Wood Frame die set. Behind the frame I adhered one of Sunny Studio’s Summer Splash pattern papers to create a sky. Once this was complete, I added my images tucking some behind the frame and the critters. Finally, I popped the Toucan up to give the card just a bit more dimension.
Sentiment and Finishing Touches
I stamped one of the sentiments for Hello Bluebird’s Jungle Littles stamp set onto Lawn Fawn’s Paper Bag cardstock and white heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn’s White embossing powder. Next, I used one of the dies from MFT’s Stitched Sentiment Strips to die cut the sentiment and popped it up so it was the same level as the frame.
For finishing touches, I added a layer of black Sakura Gelly Roll pen to the eyes of all the critters and went over the Toucan’s beak and Rhino’s horn with Glossy Accents. Lastly, I added Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle pen to the clouds.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
