Hi Everyone,
When I saw the gorgeous Gina K. Designs’ Sparkle and Shine card kit I knew I had to snatch it up. I’m so in love with the beautiful stamps in this kit (all available for individual purchase) and I had to make at least one card this holiday season with them.
Focal Panel
To create this lovely card, I started by ink blending a piece of Gina K. Designs’ Red Velvet cardstock with Lawn Fawn’s Lobster, Cranberry, and Soot inks. I wanted the center of the card to appear lighter so I only used the two darker ink shades around the edges of the focal panel.
Image and Sentiment
After ink blending the focal panel, I stamped one of the images from the Gina K. Designs’ Sparkle and Shine stamp set onto it and then heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn’s Gold embossing power.
For the sentiment, I used one from the Sparkle and Shine stamp set and heat embossed it using Lawn Fawn’s White embossing powered. I love how the white really pops against the red!
Tags
I thought it would be fun to create a set of matching tags, so I used the smallest tag in Gina K. Designs’ Tag Trio die set to die cut another piece of Gina K. Designs’ Red Velvet cardstock. Next, I inked the edges of the tags with the same inks I used on the card. After this, I stamped two sentiments from Gina K. Designs’ Holiday Tapestry and Ornamental Snowflakes stamp sets and heat embossed them with Lawn Fawn’s Gold embossing powered.
Finishing Touches
For finishing touches, I added some brown/cream and red ribbon from my stash along with cream and gold twine to the tags and then added the same cream and gold twine to the card. Finally, I sprinkled Studio Katia’s Gold Foil Pearls and Doodlebug Design’s Ladybug Jewels around the card and tags to add a bit of shine – I love how this turned out!
I hope you enjoyed this card and tags. Thanks for stopping by!
