Hi Everyone,
You know how some stamp sets will always steal your heart because they have your favorite critter or flower? Well, swan themed stamp sets are that way for me. So, it will come as no surprise that when I saw Pretty Pink Posh’s Pond Friends stamp set I just had to have it! The images in this set, which include more than just swans, are so darling!
Images
I started by stamping some of the images from Pond Friends onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and then colored them using Copic markers. I wanted these images to have a soft and delicate feel so I selected very soft Copic marker colors.
Background
To create the background, I lightly blended Ranger’s Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and then blended the same color heavier through Newton’s Nook Designs’ Bold Blooms stencil. Next, I applied Brutus Monroe’s Pearl Paste over the ink blended flowers – you can see the beautiful detail in the images below. I just love this paste it’s gorgeous!
Focal Panel
For the focal panel, I wanted to create something lovely that would set the scene so I die cut a piece of vellum and colored the back with a blue Copic marker to create the water for my pond. I then layered the images on top of the vellum popping some up and adhering others directly to the vellum.
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn’s Scripty Happy die which I cut out of Tonic Studios’ Diffused Violet and Blushing Pink cardstocks and layered together. Next, I completed the sentiment by heat embossing “for you” from Lawn Fawn’s Happy, Happy, Happy stamp set.
Thank you for stopping by today! Stay safe.
