Hi Everyone,
I love making winter themed cards – there are so many adorable images out there! As I mentioned a few weeks ago I always need Thank You cards especially after the holidays, so, today I wanted to feature the adorable Newton’s Nook Designs’ Frosty Folks stamp set. Isn’t it so darn cute?!
Image
I started by stamping the image onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then embossed it with Hero Arts’ Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder. To color the image I used a combination of Arteza Real Brush Pens and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
Background
For the background, I used a piece of Lawn Fawn’s Fog cardstock and the beautiful Taylored Expressions’ Nordic Snowflake stencil. I ink blended the background with Pinkfresh Studio’s Blue Jay ink. I’m absolutely love this background and this gorgeous stencil!
Layers and Sentiment
I wanted to add a few layered shape behind the snowmen so I die cut a piece of velum and a piece of Tonic’s December Skies cardstock. This creates such a nice frame around the snowmen.
For the sentiment I used Simon Says Stamp’s Bold Thanks die and the December Skies cardstock again to tie everything together. I popped the sentiment up by die cutting a piece of craft foam with the same Bold Thanks die.
Finishing Touches
I added some lovely finishing details by applying Ranger’s Frosted Lace and Christmas Red Stickles on some areas of the snowmen and their clothes. I also used Nuvo’s Atlantic Drift Glitter Accents to add some cute blue dots to the snowwoman’s hat.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
