Hi Everyone,
I’m completely in love with My Favorite Things – they have such amazing products! I’m also a HUGE Birdie Brown fan – her illustrations are so cute – so when I saw MFT’s Picture Perfect stamp set I was over the moon in love.
Image
All the images in MFT’s Picture Perfect stamp set are so darn cute so I had to color them all right away. Today, I’m only featuring one of the super cute images so stay tuned for more cards in the future. I just love these little Guinea Pigs especially the excited one with his little hands up – so cute! I stamped the image onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Extreme Black Ink and colored it with Copic markers.
Pattern and Specialty Papers
I’ve been making an effort to use pattern paper and other specialty papers instead of just hoarding it (kinda hard to do) so I went through my stash and found a cute and happy pattern paper for the background. Next, I wanted to use MFT’s Polaroid Shaker Frame die to frame the image so I selected Tonic Studios’ Yellow Bamboo Specialty Paper, which worked well with the pattern paper, to cut the frame.
Sentiment
I was inspired by the happy expressions on the Guinea Pigs faces to make this a celebration themed card and knew MFT’s Celebrate die was perfect for the sentiment. I cut the sentiment out of Tonic Studios’ Rusted Crimson Pearlescent cardstock along with craft foam to give it some dimension on the card.
Assembly
I used a die from SugarPea Designs’ Card Front Element Builder set to add stitching to the pattern paper and then adhered it directly to the card base. Next, instead of tossing out the center cut from MFT’s Polaroid Shaker Frame I added it behind the photo frame on the card. I adhered the sentiment overlapping the photo frame to give it a bit more interest. Lastly, I cut a piece of MFT’s Kraft cardstock and adhered this directly below the sentiment for an extra bit of interest.
I hope you liked today’s card! Thanks for stopping by!
