Hi Everyone,
This fall-themed card featuring Hello Bluebird’s Pumpkin Patch stamp set just makes me so happy! Looking at it makes me think of warm cozy coats and apple cider.
Image and background
While I don’t normally buy stamps that feature people characters I fell in love with this super cute stamp set from Hello Bluebird and had to have it! I started by stamping this adorable little pair and pumpkin onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Extreme Black Ink and colored them with Copic markers.
Next, I stamped Concord & 9th’s Plaid Background on to Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock using Simon Says Stamp’s Fossil ink. I love this warm and beautiful background color!
Die Cuts
Like several of my other cards of late, I wanted to add die cuts to really make this card pop. I knew I wanted a pumpkin to be the supporting feature image on this card so I used Mama Elephant’s Favor Bag Accessory – Pumpkin die to create this lovely pumpkin. After die cutting the pumpkin I inked the edges with Distress Oxide inks and added some detail with a Copic marker. Next, I used several shades of color cardstock from my stash to cut leaves using Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Leaves and Small Stitched Leaves dies and then inked the edges with Distress Oxide inks to add dimension.
Sentiment and Finishing Touches
For the sentiment, I used Hello Bluebird’s Autumn Script stamp set and coordinating die. I stamped the sentiment onto MFT’s Primitive Cream cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Walnut ink and after die cutting it I adhered it directly to my card base.
To add a bit of sparkle to the card I used Nuvo’s Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer pen on the girl’s scarf and hair tie. Next, I used a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to add stripes to the boy’s hat. I covered both their jackets and boots in a layer of Glossy Accents and darken their eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen. Lastly, I added some Pretty Pink Posh’s Metallic Gold Jewels around the card for a little more sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
