Hi Everyone,
I love Hello Bluebird’s Spring Gatherings stamp set since it has so many cute images that you can create tons of adorable cards. If you’re instructed you can view a past card I created using the bunny from this set.
Images
Today, I’m featuring the sweet pig from the Spring Gatherings stamp set along with the adorable cupcake, chicks, and daisy images. I started by stamping all these images onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and then colored them using Copic markers.
Creating the Scene
To create the scene, I started by die cutting a piece of pattern paper from my stash with Lawn Fawn’s Sunrise Backdrop die. Next, I adhered the pattern pater directly to my card base making sure to add back in all the die cut pieces. Once this was complete, I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Marigold ink to darken the cardstock behind where the pig would stand to make this area have a little more pop.
My next step, was to die cut some white cardstock from my stash using one of the dies from Pretty Pink Posh’s Scallop Ovals dies. After this, I used one of the hills from Lawn Fawn’s Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies to cut some green cardstock and inked it with Pinkfresh Studio’s Olive ink to add a bit more dimension and then adhered the grass directly to the white oval frame.
Sentiment and Finishing Touches
For my sentiment, I used a combination of Lawn Fawn’s Scripty Happy die for “happy” and “birthday” from Lawn Fawn’s Happy Happy Happy stamp set inked in Pinkfresh Studio’s Olive ink and die cut with one of the dies from MFT’s Stitched Sentiment Strips dies.
I also added a bit of shine using a Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle pen to give the flowers and cupcake some sparkle. Next, I also gave the pigs and chicks a bit more life by using Sakura Gelly Roll to add dimension and shine to their eyes. Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to the chicks noses and over the top of the cupcake.
Thank you for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
