Hi Everyone,
I absolutely love Hello Bluebird stamps and last year I was so sad when I ran out of time to use the super adorable Hello Bluebird’s O Christmas Tree stamp set. So, this year I knew I had to create a card with it and what better then a slimline card!
Images
I stamped all of the images from the O Christmas Tree stamp sets onto Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock with Gina K Designs’ Jet Black Amalgam ink and then colored them with Copic markers. After using the coordinating dies to cut out the images I went over the eyes and noses of the critters with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
Background Elements
To create the focal panel, I die cut a piece of Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with the largest die from Lawn Fawn’s Large Slimline with Sliders die set and then blended Hero Arts’ Soft Sky ink onto the background. I love this soft blue sky (hard to see in photos but lovely in real life). Next, I used the stitched cloud dies from Trinity Stamps’ Wonky Stitched Wilderness die set to give the sky a bit more dimension.
I made the ground by die cutting a piece of Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust cardstock with one of the dies from MFT’s Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts die set. I popped up the snow covered hill with foam tape so I would be able to tuck some of the images behind it.
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I used one from a now retired MFT stamp set and then lightly blend over it with Hero Arts’ Soft Sky ink so it would blend more into the sky.
Finishing Touches
For final touches, I added a layer of Ranger’s Glossy Accents to all the candy canes. Next, I went over the star, pearl garland, and ornaments with Ranger’s White Opal and Carnation Red Liquid Pearls and Gina K. Designs’ Ruby Pearl Crystalline Drops. I added some while gel pen details and Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to some of the critters scarves. Finally, I added Ranger’s Christmas Red and Holly Stickles to the birds hats, the fox’s scarf, and the center of the bows on the gifts.
I hope you enjoyed this cute Christmas card! Thanks for stopping by!
