Hi Everyone,
I have to confess that some of my favorite stamp sets feature cats and dogs. So, when I saw the sneak peeks of Heffy Doodle’s Purrfect Day stamp set I just knew I had to have this set in my life. These kitties are so darn cute!
Images
I stamped most of the images for Purrfect Day onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and then colored them using Copic markers. Next, I cut the images using the coordinating dies and then went over the kitties eyes with black Sakura Gelly Roll pen to make them pop.
Background
I wanted the background to be subtle so I used MFT’s Small Brick Wall stencil and lightly ink blended Altenew’s Vanilla Cream ink concentrating the darkest ink in the middle of the MFT’s Primitive Cream cardstock. I love how this turned out!
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I wanted something bold to place the cat tree on so I used Hello Bluebird’s Hello Friend word dies and cut “hello” out of a piece of MFT’s Kraft cardstock. Next, I cut “friend” out of Tonic Studios’ Blue Frost Pearlescent cardstock which closely matches the green I used for parts of the cat tree. Since “friend”in this die set is so delicate I made sure not to pop out the inner pieces of cardstock so it has a bit more weight visually.
Finishing Touch
To finish the card, I went through my stash and pulled out green and cream enamel dots and sprinkled them around the card. I remember why I love enamel dots so much!
Thanks for stopping by and spending time with me today! Stay safe!
